Client was interested in sizing the potential of the Canadian market and developing a set of key execution considerations based on the unique needs of the Canadian consumer, the competitive environment, and the retail landscape more broadly.
Candela's Role
Candela team designed consumer research to determine brand awareness and perceptions of client’s brand across several Canadian markets. We analyzed results to identify brand’s key strengths and weaknesses and areas with greatest potential. Through a detailed demographic, behavioral and psychographic analysis of women's apparel buyers, we sized opportunity to estimate the number of potential stores that the Canadian market could support overall, and within each province/ major metro area.
Impact
We identified $67M in revenue potential in the Canadian market, and recommended a phased build of 48 stores. Currently 12 stores are operating in the Canadian market
